Open Days
Hills District Orchids hold four Open Days throughout the year. These have
proved very popular for both orchid enthusiasts and general plant lovers for
filling the niche that has been left after the closure of several previous
full-time retail specialist nurseries in the Sydney Region. The informal
atmosphere provides an ideal opportunity to discuss and purchase plants and
observe first-hand their growing conditions. There are numerous experts on hand
to provide advice and answer any orchid-related questions.
Tea & coffee is provided and a BBQ is held
from mid-morning to lunch-time.
The Open Days start at 9.00am until 4.00pm.
The seasonal Open Days are held:
Autumn: last Sunday in February
26 February 2012
Winter: last Sunday in July
29 July 2012
Spring: 4th Sunday in September
23 September 2012
Summer: first Sunday in December
2 December 2012
As there is no parking at the nursery, please park in either Mary Street or
Windermere Avenue. It’s only a very short walk past a few houses. Windsor Road
is also on the main bus route between Parramatta and Baulkham Hills/Castle Hill.
